1/1 9:30pm |
Contractions start becoming painful. Paula says
"maybe we should start timing these". Could this be it?!?! |
1/2 1:30am |
We're getting a little concerned because the
baby hasn't moved in a while, so we call the doctor and he says to go in and get it
checked out. |
1/2 3:00am |
After some monitoring,
the hospital decides that this is it! and they check us in to Labor and Delivery Room #4. |
1/2 4:00am |
The contractions are getting really painful now,
so Paula gets some Fentanyl for the pain. |
1/2 6:00am |
The Fentanyl has worn off and the pain's
returning. Epidural time! It's amazing - once the epidural takes effect, Paula feels no
pain and is relatively pain free until the pushing stage. |
1/2 9:00am |
The contractions are progressing nicely, but
she's not dilating fast enough, so the doctor decides to break the bag of waters. |
1/2 12:00pm |
It worked! She's fully dilated now, but the
doctor is delivering another baby, so we hang tight for a while. |
1/2 1:00pm |
The doctor's ready, so the pushing stage starts
in earnest. |
1/2 2:24pm |
Cassidy Nicole Boucher is born! Wow... |
